Couples Therapy in Los Gatos, California

Stronger Relationships, Healthier Families

You love each other. But somewhere between the kids, the schedules, and the exhaustion, you stopped feeling like a couple. That's what this is for.

A family of five, including three young girls, a man, and a woman, standing outdoors on a dirt path among trees at sunset, sharing a kiss.

Nobody warns you how much parenting will change things between you. You're both doing everything right and somehow you've never felt more alone in the relationship.

The arguments feel bigger. The connection feels smaller. And there's never a good time to deal with it.

If you are noticing more tension, less patience, or a growing distance in your relationship since becoming parents, you are not alone, and this is something therapy can help with.

Zero to Three highlights how a parent's own early experiences directly shape the attachment patterns they pass on to their children.

This Might Be For You If…

  • You and your partner feel more like roommates managing logistics than a couple

  • Arguments seem to spike around parenting differences or household responsibilities

  • You want to feel more connected, but do not know how to find the time or energy

  • You are navigating shifting roles and identities as parents

  • You want support before small issues become bigger ones

Hi, I'm Megan Bathen-Gonzalez, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 150616) based in Los Gatos, working with couples and families across the Bay Area through secure telehealth sessions.

I work with couples and individuals navigating the unique stresses that come with parenting, helping them communicate more effectively and reconnect as partners.

How I Can Help

My approach is warm, practical, and tailored to your relationship. We slow things down and look at what's actually happening between you. What triggers the arguments. Why one of you shuts down while the other pushes harder. What you both actually need and why it's been so hard to say it. Then we work on doing something different.

Together, we will work on:

  • Figuring out why the same arguments keep happening

  • Learning to actually hear each other instead of just react

  • Reconnecting as partners, not just people managing a household

  • Building a rhythm that works for your relationship, not just your kids' schedule

What Sessions Look Like

Sessions are virtual, which means you can show up from home, without adding another errand to the list. If something here resonated, that's enough of a reason to reach out. You don't have to have it figured out first.
