I accept major credit and debit cards, FSA and HSA cards through a secure platform.

I am an out of network provider, which means I do not directly accept insurance.

For those who have a PPO plan and would like, I can provide a super-bill for potential reimbursement.

I offer a limited number of sliding-scale spots for clients based on financial need. Please inquire about this.

It is not guaranteed that sliding scale spots will be available at time of request.

Mentaya Badge

What is Mentaya?
Mentaya is a free tool that shows you, in seconds, what your out-of-network insurance benefits might cover for therapy with me. You'll enter some basic insurance information and get an estimate of what you could be reimbursed.

If you choose to use Mentaya beyond the initial check, they can also handle submitting claims to your insurance company on your behalf after each session, so you're not filing paperwork yourself. They charge a small processing fee per claim, separate from my session rate, and reimbursement amounts depend entirely on your specific insurance plan.

Using Mentaya is completely optional. You're always welcome to request a superbill directly from me and submit it to your insurance yourself instead.

Wondering how much your insurance might cover? Use the tool here to check your out-of-network benefits in seconds.

Many PPO clients receive 40 to 80% back on sessions.

No Surprises Act

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what your services may cost. Rates are listed here on this website. If you wish to receive this in writing, please request this.

Why work with an out-of-network therapist

Why I work outside insurance

  • No limit on your care. We can meet for as long as you actually need, without an insurance company deciding when your treatment ends.

  • Care shaped around you, not a diagnosis code. You don't need a formal diagnosis to get support, and treatment isn't dictated by what insurance will approve.

  • Full confidentiality. Your sessions, notes, and records stay between us, nothing gets shared with an insurance company.

  • No surprise billing. You know exactly what you're paying upfront, with no risk of coverage abruptly changing mid-treatment.

  • Flexibility. Session frequency, pacing, and focus are built around what's actually useful for you and your relationship, not what a claims department will reimburse.

What is a superbill?
A superbill is an itemized receipt I provide after each session that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. It includes the information your insurer needs to process a claim, though reimbursement isn't guaranteed and depends on your specific plan.

FAQs

Do you offer sessions longer than 50 minutes?

1

Yes. Extended sessions are available by request for an additional cost. Let me know if you'd like to explore this, and we can talk through what that would look like for your care.

How do I know if I qualify for a sliding-scale spot?

2

Sliding-scale availability is based on current openings and financial need. The best way to find out is to reach out and ask, I'll let you know what's available at the time.

Do you require a credit card on file?

3

Yes. All clients keep a card on file through my secure client portal in SimplePractice, which is used for session payments and any applicable late-cancellation fees.

What happens if my card on file is declined?

4

I'll reach out to update your payment method before your next session. If payment isn't resolved, sessions may be paused until it's taken care of.
